WHEELS sierra to denali change out

i am looking to get a set of denali (c3 ) wheels

the ones most available are the 17" off the denali

i know this will require new 17" tires but i want to stay

the same overall size as i have on the truck now

 

has anyone done this or know which tire size i will

need to put on these new 17"s wheels

any help mucho gracious

Find out what tires are on a Sierra Denali or C3. I bet they are the same diamter as 265's. A guy at work has a C3 I can check his tires if you like.

Sierra Denali and Yukon Denali both come with the same size tires, P265/70/17. Even if your are going to put them on a regular Sierra, I would stick with this size because it is a common size and there are many tires to choose from. They will also fit fine on your truck. If you try to go to a different size in the 17's you will probably pay more because the sizes are not common. However, if you currently have the 255/70/16's on your truck, the equivalent would be 255/65/17's.

I work tonight and he works in the morning so if I wait a few minutes his truck should be i nthe parking lot when I'm leaving. I'm sure Shaydogg is right though that they are 265/70's.I'll check carsdirectand post what they say.

Checked the truck at work this morning, yup 265/70's

245/75/16 has the overall size of 30.6

 

285/60/17 in ovearll height is the same but would be wider. This tire would have to mounted on a min of 7.5 inch rim. ( I belive denali has 7" rim.)

265/65/17 has the right height but still needs a 7.5" rim.

 

A 245/70/17 has the correct height and is 7" rim approved.

 

I Personally would throw 265/70/17. It is approved ofr a 7" rim.

This tire wil be 1.2 inches taller than stock and .8 inches wider than stock.

Your speedo wont be very off either. (might just set the speedo straight on.)
