Flashing engine light

This morning I was driving too work and my check engine light come on and flashed for about 15 seconds then went away. Is this something I should be concerned about and has anybody else had this issue?? 2014 5.3 GMC Sierra

Happened on my 2015 Silverado one morning going over a bridge cruising at 50mph. Never had any problem holding 50 on this bridge before. Blinking CEL caught my eye and noticed I was going 44 and dropping. Overdrive never even tried to kick in. Blinking quit about 15-20 seconds later. Looked it up online and all I could find was it's a sign of a misfire and not looking into it could possibly cause catalytic converter damage. I had a Diablo tune on my truck so when I got to work I plugged it into my obd2 port and did a scan but nothing came up, ended up just reflashing the tune and didn't have anymore problems. I would go to O'Reilly's or AutoZone depending on where you live and just have them scan for a code just to see
