I've had it.

Well, I've had it. I'm selling my piece of crap truck.

The list of things that have gone wrong with it just continue. :D:D:chevy:

I have lost all faith in this new style truck with all the poor quality engineering problems that haunt it.

I hope I can just unload it before something else goes to crap.

Not sure what I'll replace it with. :)

Make sure you go out and buy a dodge...... That way you will start to see that your problems with GM are not that bad compaired to others out there. I guess if you really want no problems you could always buy something overseas :):D:thumbs:

Problems I've had for the last year and half.

2 dead horns.

1 resister pack.

1 rear brake job complete, pads, rotors, and park brake shoes.

1 Passenger side window regulator.

1 complete rear-end rebuild.

I got the engine knock too, and now, now I have the "Service 4WD" light that comes on all the time. Don't know what I'll do with that.

All this, and I've only put about 8000 miles on the dang thing since I owned it.

I know the old fellow who owned it before me and I know it was not miss treated.

I just figure I can own a 10 year old truck with no payments, and probably have less problems. Nothing worse than making large payments, and then have to fix this thing every other month.

I don't know

Those problems dont seem too bad except the rear end and engine knock. I got so called piston slap on acceleration, but they gave me a 6 yr 100k warranty so I will keep it since I dont owe much on this '01 truck. I will say next truck will have to be proven out as far as engine goes. I feel gm screwed a lot of people with this bs piston slap not being a problem! HA! Try to sell it when the buyer says "what the hell is that noise???"

You had all these problems with a MY2000? Hmm...I think GM had a few kinks to work out in 2000. My mothers 2000 Corvette 6-speed had to have its stearing column replace due to a defective one. They had a problem with them seizing up. I'd hate to have that happen while you were movin'.

A lot of people have had that problem and it was fixed by replacing the 2WD, 4 Hi, 4 Lo, Auto-Trac switch, assuming you have the push button 4X4. I don't think the switch cost a whole lot of money. A few have had it to be something else, the actuator or something like that.

Good luck.

Some engines just do that while at idle. My Ranger does it. I heard that it is just the engine mixing fuel/air. Not sure if there is any truth to that, but the truck runs fine, so I don't really care.

Alright, let me add the Drivers side power window regulator to this list.

It's at the point now that I'm afraid to even drive it anymore, cause something else might break.

What Friggin piece of work this thing is.

To top things off my local dealer is hounding me to come in, and buy another GM Product. :D

Sorry for you troubles. :D

The only thing I have had done to my 00 is replace the switch for the 4x4, (light on just like your is). My passenger window motor is a bit slow when the engine is off, but everything else is great!

I would look at another Chevy if I were you. Dodge has tons of little "dodgey problems" of years past with an aweful ride and well, Ford is ford!

Good Luck!
