Houston Area Show - Oct. 11th

I volunteered to run the car show this year that's along with the Richmond Pecan Festival in downtown Richmond (25 miles SW of Houston)

The show has sucked the last few years and I'd like to get a better turnout this year. I'm getting into it kinda late so it's going to be tough to do all I want.

I'd really like to get all of you Houston guys to come down and help me out with the turnout and show off your trucks. Maybe we could even do a BBQ along with it.

In the past it's been a $10 entry with limited trophies. I'm either going to leave it that way or make it a free show with no awards. What do you guys think?? The awards mean there has to be judging which is always a PITA. Nobody is ever happy except the guys that win the trophies. I personally have always liked the free shows.

Help me out and give me your thoughts.

I should have more info coming up this week including a website for it.

Sounds like fun. I live in Cypress and everything sounded good until you said Saturday. I am in Volunteer Firefighter Training every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday till Thanksgiving.

Good luck with the event. Let's try to get a Houston gm-trucks.com members gathering together again sometime.

That sounds like a plan, we should do a meet at KartZone and do some racing. Sorry you can't make the show.
