Gas gauge

Recommended Posts

I have not driven the Blazer in about a month, and today I decided to drive it to work...Of course that inconsiderate wingnut :( that parked it, parked it with no gas in it.

I go fill it up, and when I get back in, the gauge is about 1/2 inch further right than its ever been.

I thought it had died, but while driving it twitches like it's just "mostly dead", and someone is poking it with a stick....Just about 1/8th of an inch or so.

I drove about 100 miles today, and it hasn't moved down at all...It just lays over on the right and twitches...And none of the other gauges are messing up.

Anyone ever have this problem? Suggestions?

Problem with that for me is: I don't drive it enough to remember how much gas is in it from drive to drive...I would hate to have it run out on me....That might make me use a 4 letter word. :(

I would rather just dig into it and fix it...Plus I'm probably putting it up on the for-sale block soon, and would like for everything to be working when I do...This is the only thing wrong with it...Today. :chevy:
