I just wanted to know what ya'll think about the Enovy XUV. During Survior, they had a few commercials. I think they look pretty good, a little weird though. I want to see them in dealers before I make up my mind though.

Live in the Detroit metro area and have seen alot of them out around GM sites. They are eye catching but I'm not sold on the whole idea. If your going to pay 40 grand for a SUV do you want to be hauling trees and taking it to the quarter car wash and squirting it out. Not me. All in all it's a nice look, I hope it sells well. I've got an 03 TB and so far am very happy with it.

I think Car and Driver said it best when they did an article on the Avalanche... its "the answer for the question that was never asked"... (No offense is intended for the Avalanche folks on this board)

The XUV is an interesting concept, I'm just not sure of its real world feasibility.

 My Dad, GMC Dealer, is not exactly sure what he is going to do with this thing. But like he always says, "There is an a$$ for every seat." Look how well the Avalanche sold. You never know.............

No kidding, I always liked it, but thought that they would sell about 14 of them. Now (around here) they are almost as plentiful as Tahoes.

I'm glad that they are trying this stuff out....Breaks up the same-ole-same-ole.

When I first saw M-Plated XUV's running around time, I admit they did look a bit odd. An XL looked bloated when those first were introduced, but I soon grew accustomed to those. It's been the same with the XUV. I think it almost looks nicer than the XL, with the chrome accents @ the top of the rear roof line. The rear tailgate is a bit chunky (and why the hell did GM decide to make it hinge at the right, not the left? Unless they're marketing it in European countries, I don't know why this happened), but looks decent. Even the XUV's three spoke wheels, which I usually hate on Envoys, look good with the hexagon center.

Just like the '04 Malibus, XUV's look better:

(a. in person

(b. in time

(c. in other colors except silver and white (namely blue, black, deep red, etc.)

I saw several of them last week at the state fair, and they are pretty cool. I also live about 2 miles from the GM plant that makes them....So I have seen a few going down the road when I'm driving to work.

They look pretty normal, until one goes by with the top open/forward/whatever. Then you do a double take. I think it's pretty cool!

I think you definately hit the nail on the head with this one. For some reason concept cars always look terrible in gold and silver type colors (and they are ALWAYS shown in these colors), but then when it comes out and you see blue and red ones it looks a lot better.

I doubt I would ever buy one. A crew cab Colorado would fit my needs much better and would be better off road (not to mention cheaper).
