Mirror Function

I was looking through the owner's manual today and it mentioned something called Curb Assist (think that was the name) where the outside mirrors turn down when in reverse to see the curb better and then return to the memory setting when in forward. On my 2003 Sierra 2500HD I have the SLT package so it has the power tilting and heated mirror, but I don't see how to get this curb assist thing to work. There is no setting for it in the driver control.

It also mentions a power folding that does not seem to work either? Is there a way to tell if that is supposed to be there and it is not working or ???

Thanks

If you have the optional power folding mirrors (may be standard with the SLT), you use the same switch to fold them as you do to adjust them up/down/left/right. Make sure the left/right selector switch is set to neutral (in the middle) and press the "adjust right" button to fold them in ("adjust left" to fold them out). When the option is active (selector is in the middle), an LED will come on inside the switch displaying the power fold option.

There should be a setting in the DIC to allow you to turn Curb Assist on (at least my '03 1500HD does). If you do not have it, I don't know what to tell you.

Thanks I did look at one of my RPO codes and it did say manual folding mirrors so atleast that one I know is "working right" altho still not sure about that curb assist thing and why it is not showing up on that display.
