Friday morning I'm driving down to Nashville to take part in the Country Music Marathon (26.2 miles) www.cmmarathon.com There will be some 26 cheerleading squads and about 25 bands performing all types of music. That night, they are giving us free passes to the Jo Dee Messina and Lee Roy Parnell concert. Then for the next week, I'm driving all over TN and KY to see at least the following:

Corvette Museum

Dean Gap (with all the twists and turns)

Cumberland Gap

Abe Lincoln's birthplace

Hatfield and McCoy's fued area

Daniel Boone's grave

Fort Boonesborough

Wild Turkey Distillery

George S Patton US Cavalry and Armory Museum

The Lost Squadron (P-38 museum)

.....and what ever else pops up

You might want to check out Floyd Garrett's Muscle Car Museum in Sevierville Tenn, just ESE of Knoxville.

Best Car Museum is the best one in the South!! He has a 1969 Camaro ZL1 in there right now! I might be able to meet you there and we could go on a tour of it. Just PM me if you are going to go!

My aunt is going to be there running that marathon. I am training for one as we speak (doing the Disney marathon '03). I admire anyone who trains and runs marathons, as the amount of training and endurance involved is truly awesome. Congratulations and good luck!

Is this your first marathon? What time are you shooting for? Or, are you just shooting to finish!

I also agree that you should see Floyd's museum. I know I'd love to!

Speaking of ZL1's.......you know they're making 69 of them with the LS6 ( weird) in it.

ZL1 etc.

There's also some good into on it on the sYc page in a thread that has the guy who is kind of heading it up, explaining why they're calling it a ZL1 even though it has an LS6 smallblock.
