I noticed in my truck the driver side was blowing heated air when the AC was on...Then on its own started to work fine, this has happen a few times now.

Which actuator is bad? I suppose the one that controls the driver side, where is it located? High dollar fix?

Thanks

The drivers side actuator is located on the passenger side floorboard. Here is a video of the replacement.

Got it installed, seems to be working right now but was working when I remove the old one. Took the old one apart didn't see any problem. Thanks for the help and video, was pretty easy to install. I don't know what the dealer would have charged maybe million dollars?

You wont be able to see a problem inside the actuator itself. It has the wrong resistance value for the counts. The actuator from GM is $275 plus tax. The labor would be around 1hr. So probably $400 to fix.

Overall my truck has been pretty much trouble free over the years...I bought it with 3k miles on it and the thing would eat tires like crazy. When through set after set..took it back to dealer they couldn't find anything wrong. One of the mechs said to go to walmart and buy the cheapest set they have, did that and tires last as long as they should since.
