Truck unlocking itself

I've received a lot of help on different issues with my vehicle on here so I just wanted to post this because I had trouble figuring out why my GMC Sierra was unlocking itself.  I would lock it and sometime later, hours maybe or minutes the doors would just unlock by themselves.  The problem was my passenger lock/unlock switch, it was going out and unlocking the truck at random times.  I disconnected it to check and the truck hasn't unlocked itself since.  Hope this helps others cause it took me a while to figure it out.

ahh but have you replaced the switch and verified the problem has been solved?  I'd hate you to put a new switch in and then it starts unlocking itself again.

you can buy the door lock switch on Amazon for about 20 dollars for the ac delco brand  there are 10 dollar cheaper non oe versions as well.  AC delco version ACDelco 15804094 GM Original... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01E974R7Q?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Oh and yes the truck doesn't unlock itself anymore.  It never locked itself, the problem I had was I'd lock it go in to work, the house and come back outside and it would be unlocked "most of the time" one day it boldly unlocked itself right in front of me.  It didnt unlock immediately after locking, it just randomly would unlock over the course of a couple hours.  It took me 6 months to figure out what my problem was.  Theres a different switch for each door, it was my passenger door switch where only the lock button worked, the unlock did not.  I have replaced it and it definitely was this cause the truck hasn't unlocked itself for over a week.  It used to unlock itself every day.
