slashed tires

Down here in Miami, some vandals went and slashed all the tires on ferrari's, lambourgini's(sp)...and other high priced vehicles.

they were interviewing the guy the owed the place, and he was explaining to the news that the tires on this ferrari he had cost 1500 to 2k PER TIRE.......do they really make tires that expensive??? I mean I know some z-rated tires are expensive, but 2 large a tire...I don't believe it.

Oh yeah his hummer limo tires, were 1k each also he said.....I say FUNK THAT...I can get 44 swampers for what around 4-500 each.....I smell an insurance scam.

Yes.

Some are run flats with internal online pressure monitoring systems, some are just flat out Supercar tires. Then there's special compounds, asymetrical tread patterns, etc, etc.

he can obviously afford it, if that's the kind of cars he has in his stable.. if you own a ferrari AND a hummer limo, what's 8 grand for a set of tires for each vehicle?
