Anyone run Yokohama Geolander A/T's?

Hey Everybody,

 

I need some new rubber for my truck before the snow flies. I currently run Cooper Discoverer A/T and they have been a good tire, excellent wear (got 50,000 miles out of them), good all-around traction but the wet/snow traction leaves a little bit to be desired.

 

Right now I am looking at two options. Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo (which I KNOW is an awesome tire) and Yokohama Geolander A/T +II. Im looking for some more info on the Yoko's, anyone have personal experience with them?

 

The Yoko's are tempting because they look good and are $40/tire cheaper then the Revo's. Or am I better off sucking it up and paying the $160 price difference?

I looked at the Geolanders and ended up going along with everyone else - buying the BFG ATs.

Well, I have a set of Geolanders myself. I have around 28k on them now...and almost have 1/2 tread life left. I expect to get atleast 40k out of them before they are done.... not too bad for $100/tire. I've had this tire in all situations, sand, mud, snow and deep water. In all cases this tire performed MUCH better than the stock firestones. I'll be sticking with this tire whenever I need to buy tires again... no question about it.

I have 285/75/16 Geolander AT+II on my 2500HD and love them. To me they are inbetween a AT and a MT with the agressive AT tread. They have great traction in wet, they are quiet, seem to be wearing good (6000 mi) and they look good to boot. Price is nice also! The only downside to them I have found is with the tread design and softer compound, they catch and throw a lot of rocks. Splash gaurds were a must on my truck. Probably common for a lot of tires though!
