Carven TR installed

I just swapped in a Carven TR series muffler, it’s a completly straight through design. I got a little sound from the outside but it sounded stock on the inside. I blocked those mesh screens by the tail pipes and it sounds 100x better. It’s got a moderate interior and exterior sound with minimal drone. Carven is currently making a full cat back kit for these, this will just be a temporary set up. If you want a more aggressive tone then I’d recommend the “R” series muffler.  The clip is too long to post on here so here’s a link for YouTube.

Any weird noise on the highway because of DFM like on the old AFM system? Had a carven catback on my 2015 and hated the helicopter noise when my tune was off.

I emailed carven about a month ago and they said the catbacks should be released early next year. Interested in getting one for sure.

It does a bit, I think its impossible not to get that sound with an aftermarket exhaust until the AFM gets deleted.  I have a flowmaster American thunder series with the quad tips ordered.  It sounds like carven is just making a drop in muffler system like they have for the rams, plus they aren't offering any tip options for the guys with the duals out the back.  My friend just installed the R series on his and it sounds 100x better than mine.

Any chance you have a sound clip of that? I don't want to go too loud but I would imagine just a muffler swap with an R is probably not much louder than the full progressive catback and I wouldn't be opposed to that either but haven't heard one yet. Guessing it probably isn't too different to the last gen engines so I'll look at those too on youtube.

Thanks for the insight!
