Oil life reset issue 2002 Sierra

Took my 2002 GMC Sierra truck to Firestone to have oil changed they called and said that they can't seemed to reset the oil change light.  Turning the ignition to on, pressing gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds still wont reset,  What the best option for me

If it's a full automotive shop, they should have a scanner that can reset the oil usage percentage that way.  You can also just try repeating the process a couple of times.  In the past, it's worked the first time for me, but when I did it a couple of weeks ago, I needed to do it twice before it reported on the DIC that it was reset.

Make sure nothing is restricting the gas pedal from going all the way to the floor. Also try stomping the gas pedal to the floor as fast as you can for 10 to 15 seconds and see what happens.

I have the same issue. I reset it, and it tells me that the oil life has been reset but it comes on at every startup. I’ve reset it multiple times back to back.
