Well if it ain't one thing, it's another.

So I run up to Sears today to replace my battery and they do the work. No big deal.

I hop into my truck (2000 Tahoe Limited) and I'll be a monkey's uncle if my drivers side window won't roll down.

All the rest of them do, and it rolled down fine when I got there (cause I had it rolled down to talk to the guy when he came out to see me).

What gives?

Is it possible that the motor is shot just b/c they disconnected the battery? The other 3 windows work fine.

Anyone have any good writeups on how to remove the driver door panel to get in there so I can check the connections?

Can I take a motor out of another door to hook it up and see if the motor's bad?

Any other way to troubleshoot this?

I'm tempted to take it back to Sears and complain, but I think they'll probably just look at me funny.

Today's just not been my day.

Check your fuses.

Take off the door panel and make sure a connection harness from the window motor to the power/switch didn't pull loose somehow.

Just a few suggestions. Is it still under warranty?

Does one fuse operate all power windows?

If so, that's not it b/c the other 3 windows work fine.

Will check the connections for sure.

It is under warranty, but not the factory warranty. I bought it used and the 3/36 is over with. Now I'm on to this extended warranty through some other company.

I'll try to check the obvious and then go down the warranty track if nothing pans out.

Just an FYI...I went out to my truck to head home today and low and behold, the gremlin has left my truck.

The window works fine now. Never had a short in it before...hopefully it was just something that needed to be reset or something.

Who knows....
