Text alerts not coming through when on wireless charger

2019 Silverado LTZ 6.2,  IPhone 8. I’m not getting audible alerts when an incoming text is received. I don’t see anything obvious in phone settings, nor was the rep at the phone store able to help me out. Friend with 19 2500HD LTZ having same prob. Any ideas?

I have 2019 GMC sierra 1500 as well and have the same issue, I called and they said they took this feature out. My 2016 had it and now it is gone, the GMC hotline told me to hook my phone with a wire to android auto, defeats the whole purpose of wireless charging. Would love to know the idiot that made this decision needs fired. They said if enough people complain they could maybe send out an update to bring it back. I already did pass the word.
