Rhino your bowtie.......cheap

here's a bowtie project someone might be interested in.

to make your bowtie look like it has been rhino lined.

take your bowtie off your grille.

paint it any color you want for the base. i used hi-temp black for that semi gloss look.

after it dries........

spray it with that fake rock texture looking stuff that you buy at your local home improvement store. it doesn't matter what color or shade, but you are probably better off trying to find a shade that is close to the actual color you want the finshed bowtie to be. you can spray it on more than once to get the texture and thickness you want. you do need to let it dry for a couple of days.

after it dries..........

spray your bowtie again with the same color you used as the base coat. do at least 4 coats or maybe not. spray as much on as you like.

when you are done your bowtie will have a nice texture to it and look like you had it rhino lined.

i did mine in black to match my black truck. i think it looks pretty cool and i know that no one around here has it.

i don't know if a pic would capture the look, but if anyone wants a pic let me know and i will try to take a good one.
