98 GMC Sierra 4.3l Clutch Issue?

Having a sudden issue with my 98 GMC Sierra 5spd.

It sat for a couple months and was on an incline.  I moved the truck one day to rearrange cars around(cause snow) everything was normal.  The next day I go to move it back, and the truck won't go into gear while engine is on.  It doesn't grind into gear, except reverse, it just stops.

The pedal does seem easy to press to the floor, but Master Cyl is full.  No leaking on the pedal floor board.

Truck will shift when off

When I start the car while in first it will pop out and remain running in neutral.

The clutch has to be pressed to start the car even when in neutral(never experienced that dunno if that's a normal thing for most)

I did find another issue, not sure if it's related but I'll upload a pic.  I dunno what this wire is to, but it's  a ground of some sort.  I barely touched it to find the source and it was brittle and broke at a finger's touch

Sounds like the clutch fluid (dot3 brake fluid) is old and breaking down. Possibly freezing up. It's kinda typical for the wires to harden and become brittle given the age and the heat from the motor. If it's a ground wire I'd fix that 1st then change the fluids in the clutch system.
