removing rear lower door latch

I have a 06 2500HD with extended cab. Lower rear door latch is rusted so bad can't get it out to replace to with new one. I have used an air chisel. latch won't release so you can open door. Been broken for 3 years and am afraid it is rusted in place. Had to use any heat.

Maybe try taking off the interior door trim?  That would give you access to the top of the mechanism, that you can possibly spray with a lubricant to get working or at least release.

 

Or maybe work a hacksaw blade along the bottom of the door to cut the loop off?

 

Or you just have to damage and replace the whole door?

I got panel off with door closed and have been soaking with BD Blaster. Hate to use heat in the small area.Try again tomorrow. Thanks for help.
