No N on the shift display

First of all i know its not Sierra but i think 2003 4.8 yukon Is really similar. 

I got no N on my shift display, also cant switch to 4x4 hi,LO, auto. No fault codes chcecked with tech2. 

Electrician says that the transmission box switches to any chosen position, but it goes back to 2hi. 

Im from europe so its really not popular truck arround here.

What else to check, aby ideas?

the instrument panel PRNDL display going out is a semi-common failure, there are videos on re-soldering some parts on the board to restore it (if that's the problem).  It's also possible that circuit board has failed and needs to be replaced.
