Hello,

Hoping to find some suggestions on what I believe is a clutch problem.

1986 GMC 3500 4WD 350ci 4 speed.

Vehicle has sat for a while, trying to get it back on the road.

Vehicle would not move, clutch pedal was very soft.  Replaced slave cylinder no pedal; then master cylinder pedal is strong.  The rod and fork are moving but the truck will not move.  The clutch does not engage at all.

Any suggestions?

Does the transmission seem to shift gears?

Anyway, it sounds like it's time to drop the transmission and check out the clutch, and the transmission as well (since it's dropped, you might as well verify that it shifts into all the gears right).

Captain Obvious here, but assuming the transfer case somehow didn't get stuck in neutral, add that to the list of things you'll need to check out.
