Any half decent chrome wheel well trims?

I plan to make my own version of a retro remake on my 2018 silverado.

I ordered and received the official GM licensed Putco chrome fender trim (putco# 97296GM) and the front fit like a glove but the rear are 1/4" too narrow overall. The radius in the corners fits great, length is great, overall curve fits the body but when I shift it all the way one way so its a nice snug fit in the radius and edges theres literally a gap big enough on the other end I can slip my finger between the lip of the chrome trim and the fenderwell...and its even all the way down the edge.SEE PIC

I sent an email to Putco and got a response saying thats how they are made so you use the small straps (glorified band straps) to hook on the edges of the fender and pull it tight so it self centers... WTF kind of engineering is that? Would just leave a huge gap behind them to collect shit. They include short screws and say you can use screws as well but not the way they have it setup... I find it odd the front fit so tight and actually quite perfect where you can use screws no problem.

So are there any other brands out there that actually fit worth a damn or are they all stamped out in china and relabeled here? I saw SAA brand also had fitment issues on the rear. No idea on B&I.

Only one Ive heard thats made different is Carrichs FTCH206 - has anyone ever used them?
