cruise control arm replace

Hi folks,

Quick question about replacing a bad cruise control arm on a '90 suburban (I think this is officially called the "multi-function lever...it has wipers and turn signal duties too).

I looked at the manual for help on removal of the old lever...it says to replace it, first unplug the wire going down the steering column and then "remove lever."   Doh!  I'm looking for a little more specific help than that...are these things held in with a retaining clip?  Do they just pull out?  I'd like to try and avoid braking anything so I thought I'd ask the forum for help first.

Thanks!
