Ac switch knob

Hi 

the switch light on the ac know stays on always. I went to the dealer and they inform me that I have to replace the whole three switch as they come as a one piece which will cost around 400$.

 

does any one face this problem and it is possible just to replace the ac switch.

could this problem leads to other problems like coolant temperature gauge drops down for fem minutes some times and the driver reverse light turns on with head lights.
