2005 Silverado 3500 dual tank delete

Hi, I have a 2005 Silverado 3500 6.0 gas, I deleted the rear tank, truck runs fine but gauge reads empty, any way to get it to read just the front tank?

It should at least read to 1/2 full or so, as there are separate level sensors in each tank, and the bcm combines the sensor readings to come up with a "fuel level" for the gauge.  Maybe use a more advanced code reader that will show you the fuel level readings the bcm is seeing and putting out.
