atom Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 2017 gmc sierra 1500 with a factory remote start issue: Up until this morning the remote starter had always worked as designed. Today when the start is pushed on the factory fob the lights flash once and no start. i tried my other fob with the same result. i tried my.gmc app with the same result. There or no lights/warnings on the instrumentation cluster on, of course the truck is in park, i opened and closed the hood hoping some safety feature there might be a bit wonky, i researched to see if there was a valet mode or something that i may have accidentally initiated but found nothing about that. Of course the dealership was zero help kind of playing it off likes a novel event. Do you have any ideas before i have to bring the truck in?
Jaychevy81 Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 Try disconnecting the battery leave it off and push the horn a few times to discharge any voltage then reconnect. May not work but it’s worth a shot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
