Trailer tail lights faintly flashing while parked

Has anyone noticed their led trailer tail lights faintly flashing every minute or so while truck and trailer are parked for the night.  Anyone know why the lights behave like this?

I think it’s part of the trucks security system as it checks to see if the trailer it still connected. Once it’s disconnected it will set the alarm off and send a notification via Onstar. LED trailer lights take very little current to light, so it’s not surprising they flicker when the trucks tests the connections periodically. The good news is, if a would be thief sees them flashing he might either thing someone is disarming the alarm or could be near

trailer anti-theft. If it doesn't complete a low voltage pass though the trailer light circuit, it sounds the theft alarm.
