theshallowbay Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 My truck has been throwing B0229 for awhile. The number one fix according to BlueDriver is to replace the recirculating actuator. I tore apart the dash, removed the old one, plugged the new one in and performed the calibration sequence. With the key in the on position or engine started, the actuator will travel all the way to the right and then all the way to the left. It will then stay all the way to the left no matter what HVAC button I press. Shouldn’t turning the recirculation button on and off move the actuator? What am I missing? This is the only HVAC code and the AC has never worked either. Thanks!

I’m going to put everything back together and roll with it. Also, hooked up gauges to the AC. Was basically empty. I was thinking these two issues were related but apparently not.
