I just purchased a 2013 GMC Sierra SLE 1500 Crew Cab 4 WD with 155,000 miles. It has heavy duty cooling and transmission cooling with the trailer package. It has two electric radiator cooling fans and when they come on, they are pretty loud. Is this normal. They are not squealing or whining, just kind of a loud wind roar. It has the LC9 engine with the AFM and the engine has a lifter ticking, which seems normal for these engines, but it really runs out great. Any suggestions for the ticking, other than tear down and replacing? I plan to use Mobil 1 full synthetic when I change my oil. Thanks for any suggestions.

My mom had. 2012 Tahoe and the fan was also loud. She took it to the dealership and they said it was normal. I don’t really remember how much louder it was compared to my 2018 now, but I think the electric fans just run a bit louder.
