I just got a 2014 lt 5.3 and i have noticed the lowest temp the a/c drops down to is 45 degrees idle, meanwhile my 04 malibu hits 35 degrees quickly and effortlessly. I did some research and found out that people have installed a pusher fan on their a/c condenser in older dodge rams, land cruisers f150s to increase cooling of the condenser thus making much colder air. Here are a few threads talking about this

my question is has anyone tried this on our gen trucks? theres seems to be enough space to install a pretty big sized pusher fan in front of the condenser.

This upgrade is only needed on vehicles that utilize mechanical cooling fans as they do not draw enough cfm through the radiator at lower rpms. Not our trucks. If you are having issues at idle or low rpms and you do not have a leak just pull the charge, vacuum, and charge with virgin 134a. Pag oil absorbs moisture and gives the same symptoms. Always remember if your not cooling the compressor isn't either, so shut it off and get it fixed.
