Warn 4wd actuator

I need to replace my broken stock 4wd actuator on my 1995 GMC Z71. Has anyone used the Warn vacuum actuator that they offer? Is there something better. I don't like the slow stock one. Any help would be great!

Thanks!

When I had my front end rebuilt (due to slow disengague of that silocone POS). I had full electric solinoide system installed. bolts right in and ties right to the factory harness with an adaptor.

Installed cost $250 CND.

What a difference In Out now, no delays. when you pull the lever back it's in. thow it forward and it's out. no lag no delay.

I don't now the brand name but will call the shop and get back to you. :D

I upgraded my 1994 with the parts from the dealership. They knew exactly what I needed. It is a new actulator (I believe from a 1997 -1998 truck) and a wire harness. I installed it myself in a couple of hours with my truck on the ground. The hardest part is splicing the wire harness into a wire on top of the transfer case. Instant four wheel drive for around $110.

Thanks for the info. I found that partzone has the actuator for about 98 bucks. Don't know if it is the newer one. Has anyone bought from them before?

Thanks,

Jack
