JE0 regenerative braking

The build sheet on my 2021 Acadia shows JE0 regenerative braking.  2.0 engine. 
 

gmc.com chat has no idea what it is.  Is this a version of eAssist?   Any guesses?

The code is not for regenerative braking.

Its for the new electronic brake assist that GM has been using.  Other forms of the system can be found in the Bolt, C8 Corvette, all 1500 Sierra/Silverado/Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban/Escalade, CT4 and CT5 and I think one or two more vehicles.

Thanks.  That makes more sense.  The chat agent at gmc.com sent me a build sheet that included 

JE0 - BRAKES FRONT AND REAR, ELECTRIC WITH BLENDED REGENERATIVE BRAKING

Yea GM can be goofy sometimes with their descriptions.  The order guide (the description I posted) and the build sheet can describe the same option slightly differently and makes you go huh?

Any guess why this is only offered on the 2.0?  If it isn’t regenerative then why not put it on the V6?
