check engine light/oil level

I have a '03 durmax 4x4 and have not had any problems until this morning. It has 9500 miles and this morn it didn't seem to have any power and then this afternoon the check engine light came on and now tonight I noticed it was telling me to check oil level. It looks to be full. What's this?

I'd consider it an invitation to get to know your warranty service advisor. He's got all the tools to read the codes and I don't.
