2009 Silverado - Remote Start Kit

Hello,

It appears my truck has the AP8 code and can have remote start enabled but it requires a activation kit (17801236)  which is discontinued. 

 

I've seen people comment that 22970855 worked for their 2011 Truck but nobody confirming this kit still works for the 2009. The dealer has provided conflicted information and not returned my phone calls.

Anyone have experience with this?

Just to update I took a gamble and bought a 22970855 kit and had it installed by the dealer. Works fine.

thanks for the update! i have the 2011 GMC Sierra with the RPO AP8 code and found the kit you stated and was gonna order it but was also getting mixed information!
