2020 silverado bent tailgate from ice buildup

Let me start off by saying I have owned 2x AT4's and and RST, now my LTZ. With no issues prior but for some reason this truck is building ice in the corner, happened to me twice now its bent out the corner of the tailgate pretty good. First time I figured a fluke now again. Something I have to keep an eye on. Anyone else come across this?

Do you mean water and ice is getting between the end of your tailgate and bed, then freezing and actually pushing the bed out away from the edge of the tailgate or actually bending the tailgate? Can you get a picture of this?

No not what I mean, dont have a pic now as I have cleared away. Ice is forming top of bumper and corners of  tailgate opening. Because its a power tailgate, not realizing ice is there when you open it as the tailgate goes down it bends out the bottom corners of the tailgate.

Ah, now I understand. We do not get ice very often, but if we do I'll know what to look for. Good post, thanks for the heads up.
