V8 Trailblazer anyone else have one

I bought the 2003 Trailblazer 5.3L. I really like that 5.3L It winds out quick and has some hard acceleration almost like the old 327. What was strange is after we got 13,000 miles on it it felt like it picked up an additional 20 hp. Didn't do anything to it but it just had more power. Took off one day into heavy traffic as I normally would and it fishtailed and screamed. It used to just go quick taking off but it started pulling stronger. I checked the tires and rotated them they showed no signs of wear.

I also have the V8, I only have 2000 miles on mine. It is a nice SUV. Much better than an Explorer or a Mountainer. When did you get yours? I just got mine in November and got over $10k off the sticker. I have everything but DVD (sunroof) and Navigation. I love it rides nice and smooth and seat 7 people very easy.

I got mine in February this year. I traded my 2002 Trailblazer in because of problems it had with the computer is my guess but the GM engineers couldn't even figure it out. The Dealer gave me retail for trade in and knocked off an additional $3000 he also insured that GMAC gave me 0.0% financing this time the first one was at 5.9%. I pulled a 5x12 Uhaul trailer from OKC to TN with it and it did really good. I ran it in Overdrive most of the way on the interstate unless it got too hilly where it would keep shifting in and out. At interstate speeds the rpm were high enough to keep it in OD but once I got on the 2 lane highway where it is a 55 mph I had to drive in 3rd gear because the engine would lug down too much. It did considerably change my gas mileage. I was only getting 14 mpg pulling.

Just bought a 2003 Envoy XL with the V8 last week. This replaced my 2000 GMC Sierra SLT. Very happy with it so far. Has anyone found any Intake upgrades available? This thing has a tiny inlet out the front of the airbox pointed at the back of the headlight. I realize though it's a tight fit, but had a Volant on the Sierra that really worked well.
