Has anyone replaced their stock pads and/or rotors with a heavier duty option?

I am wanting to go with EBC Yellow Stuff pads but can't find anyone that sells them-nor are they listed as compatible on the EBC Brakes website. I might be out of luck on this option but do any of y'all have any other ideas?

Have a 2020 High Country Duramax-only 16K miles and pads are almost gone. I drive it hard and run 35's but thought I would get a little more life out of them. Probably doesn't help that I had to tow a trailer with no working brakes a few times...

You pads are almost worn that fast?  I always used to say if Delco did anything right it was brake pads.  Still onhe stock pads on the front of my 2006 LBZ Duramax with 275000kms and Ive towed my 36ft enclosed 5thwheel Cargo hauler more than couple times with out the trailer brakes working.  That is crazy if your brakes are really wearing out already.  With that low mileage I would assume they would replace them as defective.

I have always heard that the GMC pads are very good.  What is your goal in replacing the OEM pads?

the pads on these trucks squeal like a 10 year old school bus.

GM has updated the pads, but the new ones squeal as well.

Mine started at about 7K miles. Truck is in the shop right now getting the new pads

My 15.5' High CountryDmax as well as my 15 6.0L had brake squeals but so far so good on the 21' Dually.  But I've only got 98kms so far Lmao.

Mine started at around 8K miles. @kylant are you having the pads replaced under warranty?

@nutdriver, my goal would be to beef the brakes up, stopping 8,400lbs is a tough job. I follow a guy who put the EBC Yellowstuff pads on his powerwagon and they are pretty sticky based on his review (I validated this also). I always try and over do things on my trucks though. Just part of what makes it fun to me.

supposedly. i haven't picked up the truck yet, still waiting for the axle to be replaced. they said the brakes are done, don't know exactly what that means. although the complete rear axle is being replaced and i don't know if it included brakes. 🤷🏻‍♂️
