1995 GMC C1500 rear end noise.

My 95 c1500 feels like the rear end is shifting forward and backwards when leaving a stop and makes a clunking noise after coming to a stop and starting to take off. I thought it was the leaf springs but after replacing them it still does it. Could you help me out with a little advice.

Could be a leaking wheel cylinder soaking the shoes and making them lock the drum.Pull the wheels and have a look.Of course it could be a bad diff...time to open it up and have a look.

you probably have a bad pinion bearing

I have already checked the pinion and gears they are fine
