TRAILER PlUG

[2003GMC]

Bought 2003 GMS 2500HD this fall and just had to pull a trailer. I don't have a trailer plug that goes from 7 to 4 pin? Was it supposed to be supplied with the truck? Buddy of mine told me his was in the glove box?If so i got ripped off!!

It used to be supplied with the tow option. I think in 2003 it was not and had to be purchased seperate. 2003 seems to be the year they cheapen this truck. You no longer get the under hood light either.

You can also get one of those plugs at Wal-Mart, or a local auto parts store, for around $4-6.

Mine came with the truck and was in the glovebox. Ask your dealer for one, with the huge profits they make off of us they can afford to let a wiring harness go.

Neither of my trucks came with one, but both dealers just gave me one when I asked about it on our 'walkaround' before signing the papers.

My 2004 GMC 2500HD came with the adapter taped to the auxilary wiring harness for the electirc brake control.

My '01 had the harness for the brake controller, but I bought the adapter for 7/4 harness.

My '02 came with the 7/4 adaptor and the electric brake harness and fuse. It sounds like GM skipped this for '03 and now it is back for '04.
