4.3 chassis dyno chart

A friend and I dynoed our zr2's this weekend and unfortunally my runs did not get recoreded right at I am not very happy at all. The guy that ran my truck did not seem to understand much, nust have been a new guy or something.

 

Any way, here are the 4.3 and the 5.0 charts, you can see the 4.3's torque and horsepower curves are nothing like mine, which they are supposed to be similar I am told. Also, he never even started the sheet or test untill 3250 on my 305 when the peak torque on that motor is around 2700. But the 4.3's chart appears correct.

 

 

 

Also, after he "centered" my rearend on the drums he did a test run and the silver box (not the computer) read a 252 ft torque figure.

 

I have a question for you hot rod buffs or people that konw dynos well. How os a chassis dyno set up? do you run in first gear or not? are you supposed to tape the brake light switch down so the torque converter stays unlocked?
