 Hello all,

I had just finished washing my 01 Silverado LT and I was just about finished drying it. I pushed my driverside mirror back to dry where all the water sits, then POP the mirror came loose from the bracked thats attached to the truck. We'll after further investigation it appears that inside the mirror assembally there is a spring with a metal "Clip" on top that connects to the post on the bracket assembally. The metal clip appeard to pop off and the spring is now uncompressed and it won't go back together. So now ist's together with two big screws. Does anybody know if this thing can be put together back correctly or do I need to buy a whole new assembally for about $150 or more?:cry:

Thanks for any help

I'm not sure about the putting it back together part, I've never really seen it inside parts enought to give a good answer, but you can find factory mirrors on e-bay all the time for well under $150. Everything from manual, electric, heated, non-heated, signals, and some aftermarket ones too.
