To honor the memory of John Alec Entwistle, who passed away today (6/27) at the age of 57, we have decided to temporarily take down this page. We are deeply saddened by his passing and hope that his fans will take some time to celebrate his life, remembering the wonderful music and joy he brought us.

We wish his family and friends the best, and our sympathies go out to all who cared about him. Our words can not begin to express our feelings.

Dear John,

Thank you for all the wonderful music and wonderful times - you will live forever in our hearts and our minds.

Sincerely,

Yep heard about that on the local news since he was found dead here in Vegas.  They were supposed to be opening their tour here tomorrow.  I don't really know anything about the band though, before my time.

Geez, that's terrible news  :D

This is the first I've heard it...  I've got alot of good memories of times listening to "The Who".  (And probably alot of things I can't remember too  ;)  )

:D Big Bummer :D

I am not a huge Who fan, but man, they really broke the mold with a lot of their music and the antics they performed onstage.

So many music artists were inspired by The Who, and that trickles down to all of us that enjoy great rock'n'roll.

R.I.P, John, your contribution to music everywhere has been great, and you will be missed.
