Specs on 2000's, 2001's 2002's GM trucks

Can anyone point me to a website that will give me specs on 2000 thru 2002 GM trucks? Things like horsepower and torque for the various engines? Which transmissions were available? Fuel tank sizes, etc., I know I can go GMC.com or Chevy.com but they only deal w/2003 & 2004's. Maybe specs haven't changed but I want to be sure.

Also, can anyone tell me how to identify the 4.8 V8 from the 5.3 V8 by looking at the VIN? I've heard you can tell from the 8th digit in the VIN, but what are the codes? V=4.8 T=5.3?
