2020 GMC 3500HD Glove Box Latch/Lock Removal

The glove box door on these units is plastic, and ours got marked up by items put on the floor near the glove box.  I want to replace the door only, which I can buy online.  It's easy to remove the door, but the replacement door doesn't appear to come with a handle/lock.  That's fine, because I'd like to have it keyed the same as it is now, but I can't find any information about how to remove the handle/lock from the original door.  I looked at the assembly, and there are no screws or access to the handle from the back. It appears like it's sealed. I was reluctant to try prying the cover from the front, in case it's glued on and can't be easily put back on.

 

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to transfer the handle and lock to the new door, from the old door.
