Tire Sizing

I bought a Silverado a few years ago and finally need new tires.  My current tire is 255/70r17, but these tires are $100 more per tire than 265/70r17.  I've been getting different answers so figured I'd ask here.  Can I purchase the 265/70r17s and have them installed in place of the 255s?

I can't think of an issue which would preclude the change.
