Certainly great to have good friends with whom you have grown up with through decades. I was told that I have a B&B Performance Exhaust headed my way for a gift--FTRU-0041 part number. Kinda puts a kick in the excitement level for my old bones.

Will let y'all know if this is a keeper.

Sweet, nice little post-Christmas surprise

No kidding! These are guys I have known since the 4th grade who, for reasons known only to them, decided to do this. I'm 55 years old. Sure pays to stay in touch with pals from the past.

I had a kid my freshman year of college walk up to me and call me by name...he went to NURSERY school with me...so figure 14-15yrs since the last time I had seen him...how he picked me out, God only knows.

Another reason why I have loved playing around on ClassMates.Com. Been able to really reconnect.......

Well..........

Just received my B&B TriFlos and if it were not 34 degrees and the wind was blowing from the NorthWest at 20 MPH, I'd be installng these, like RIGHT NOW. Just a car port, not a garage. Were's my hulky machoism, eh?

Appearance impression... they are SHINY, from head to toe. The muffler is 18" and oval shaped and has nearly 2 feet of pipe directly hooked to it on inlet and also outlet.

One redesign I'd do is the exhaust tip. What came with mine is a very nice looking single outlet (not the typically pictured twin outlet) but it is almost the size of a ricer cannon. I'm not too wild about that and the exhaust tip is part of the outlet pipe. In other words, it would be a bit of a modification job to replace the tip. I have Corsa dual tips which I really like and would love to install those.

The kit is nicely sectioned with the usual flange pipe, muffler and outlet pipe. Should be a very simple home install job. Now, if this humid, cold weather would back off a bit.

Hey... just installed the B&B catback exhaust. The weather finally broke.

At the risk of plagerising myself from the SS site, here are a few comments.

The install was rather uneventful. Very nice product and I especially appreciated the hint in the instructions in which it is recommended to disconnect the battery---so the computer could relearn the hardware it detects.

In my case, the low end remained intact, no codes were displayed. The truck seemed to get a bit zipper (not as much pressure applied to accelerator in town) the more I drove it.

The exhaust sound is sweet although interior sound is louder than I expected. Not sure if it is resonance or not. I don't think it is resonance because I don't feel it, but hear it---more of a voooooom sound. But the noise is tolerable and I hate resonance. Going by the comments from the guys on the SS site, I think I should expect the system will break in and start mellowing. If it loosens up and gets louder, well... may have to rethink things a bit.
