Hello,

I currently have a 2018 Silverado 1500 with a RC 2" leveling kit. I am wanting to replace the OEM front and rear shocks with the Bilstein 5100 shocks. I an not looking to raise the truck in the front or rear at all. I am happy with how it sits now. Am I able to install these Bilstein shocks with the current leveling kit on it? I know these Bilstein 5100 shocks have the capability to raise the truck in the front and rear but would I be able to just set them at the stock height and retain the current stance?

Thanks in advance

Yes you can install 5100's on your current Rough Country lift. If you place the circlip in the lowest groove of the 5100 shocks then that is setting the height to factory. Then just reinstall with your rough country kit and you'll be good to go. The rear 5100 shocks are non ajustable.

I just did this to my 2018 1500

I also had a RC 2in level kit in the front end since new....I put Bilstein 5100 all around...used the front struts on their lowest position

Truck rides wayyyy better.  Firmer but much more controlled...especially trailering and or with a load in the box.

Truck is more composed and doesnt wallow around.

they feel a lil harsh when new...they breakin nicely tho quickly.

The truck sits a tad higher in the front which is ideal as the RC 2in level still doesnt sit level..it now sits with just a tad of rake...but much closer to level.

Do it
