Engine testing before swap

I am almost done with rebuilding a 5.3l (LM7) engine and really want to test run it before swapping it back into my vehicle. I do not have a proper engine run stand and dont have the time or funds for one right now.  Can anyone share some advice or suggestions on how to get it running outside of the vehicle just for testing purposes?  Thanks.

No way I know of.

You can run it on an engine stand. You will need a harness, computer, fuel source and a battery.

 

A few wires to the computer will need power and the computer will have to be tuned to run standalone with VATS disabled. There are video's out there on youtube I believe of what you need done.
