i went out for a short drive up to the store, and when i came back, i noticed water dripping from the center right under my 2002 tahoe i see that theres a little drip hole there but the back of the muffler towards the bottom is all rusted. the truck has only 20,000 miles. i wonder if the dealer would do anything to fix it, b/c down the road it would only get worse, but then again i could just get some magnaflows.

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to point the rust out to the dealer and see what he says...

 

It is normal for water to drip from the "weep hole" though.

That would be condensation. Hot exhaust gas comes in contact with the cold exhaust system. Sure, tell the dealer. Don't be surprised by a "That's normal" response.

 

The hole is designed to let the condensation drip out so that it doesn't cause a rust hole and make you replace it.
