help needed with 2 issues

I have 2 issues with my 2015 GMC Sierra SLT

1) battery drain, i have changed out the battery and the alternator. if the negative cable unhooked it will save the battery, if left hooked up it will drain the battery enough it wont start. if left connected  overnight it will be completely dead.

2) the information screen/ electronic display is searching for an update causing the backup camera not to work, cant adjust radio before screen returns to the search for update. and can this be my battery drain problem?

if you have had experience with these problems i would be grateful for any advice for help in these matters.

i have tried to locate the culprit in the battery drain with no success, i have tried some of the ideas found on youtube as well, no success yet.

i am trying to do this before i end up paying the dealership an arm and a leg to get it repaired.

sounds like you have a parasitic drain somewhere.  any aftermarket add ons? radio? radar detector? will need to trace the source and correct it.
